Cherryville tells museum to vacate property

The City of Cherryville has asked the Cherryville Historical Association to vacate from their current location by the end of the year. The city is selling the building to Patrick O”Leary, owner of 27 building parcels in and around town.

Al Putnam, President of the Historical Society, has filed an  affadavit asking that the court declare the building the property of the Historical Association, based on their long tenancy there. There is a court hearing September 5th.
