Catawba Two Kings Casino opened last year in Kings Mountain on July 1st. They originally had 500 gaming machines in their pre-launch facility, but have since doubled that to 1000 machines.
Construction plans for the permanent casino have been vague, but the Catawba Nation Gaming Authority has announced that a timetable for the construction of the full casino will be announced later in 2022.
The casino currently employs 260 workers. They had previously announced a vision for a large two story building with a gaming floor and restaurants. A neighboring 29 story hotel tower was also being planned, although they noted that plans may change.
