With a planned opening of late August, Veronét Vineyards is a 70 acre vineyard just 10 miles from Gastonia in Kings Mountain. They will feature a 6,300 square foot main winery building, as well as a 28 foot main bar and a 20 foot secondary bar, a 70 foot patio, and a private tasting room with a floor to ceiling wine cellar.
Initially there will be eight wines offered through winery and vineyard partnerships they have throughout the United States, with their first harvest in 2020, and estate produced wines beginning in 2021. (Presently, they have 5 acres of plantings are made up of Cabernet Franc, Viognier, and Chambourcin vines). They will also offer a rotating tap of local beers, cold press coffee, Birch Fine Teas, along with charcuterie and cheese boards.
Veronét will offer $5 tastings, guided tastings at $15, flights at $12, and wines by the glass at $8. They will also offer guided vineyard tours, wine classes and wine/food pairing events. Once fully open, they will offer wedding and event rentals. Initially they will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with tastings by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. They are closed on Monday.
