We heard a rumor that Cardinal Gin- part of Southern Artisan Spirits- is being sold. It’s not true, according to co-owner Alex Mauney. They have moved temporarily to Ranlo. In the meantime they are moving forward with constructing a tasting room/distillery/restaurant/bar in Kings Mountain off of Exit 8. Evidently North Carolina law has changed, and they will be able to sell unlimited bottles at the distillery location.
