Piedmont Lithium CEO gets pay bump of 59% to $6.1 million

Belmont’s Piedmont Lithium CEO Keith Phillips got a 59% pay increase last year, to the tune of $6.1 million. His base pay increased from $583,333 to $750,000. The largest increase came from stock options of $3.5 million, up from $525,058 the previous year.

The average Piedmont Lithium employee salary was  $202,043 in 2023, which makes Phillips salary about 30 times more than the average. In 2022, Piedmont Lithium came in first on a list of highest median employee salaries.

In February the company said they had laid off 27% of it’s workforce in a cost cutting plan.Meanwhile the stock was trading at $13.26, well below it’s 2021 high of $79.50.
