The Catawba Lands Conservancy, through a $1.1 million grant from the North Carolina Land & Water Fund, will preserve two tracts totaling approximately 115 acres. Both tracts are near the Catawba River and it’s tributaries
The goal is to protect native species and water quality near the Catawba and South Fork Rivers. Both tracts could eventually connect to the Carolina Thread Trail.
