Better than any Millionaire-
Being a Kid in the Summertime!

(feature from our print magazine)

I've always said that being a kid in the summertime is the best thing in the world! Better than any king or millionaire- just long days filled with bike rides, ice cream, swimming, and (these days)- WiFi.

But what about us adults? What about our summer? Check out Ben Dungan's thoughts on channeling summer...
Surprise! It's going to be hot
It will be hot (again) today. The high will be 96, but will feel like 107.... Chance of thunderstorms is 24%. If you're going to be outside-hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! If the heat isn't enough, the mosquito activity tomorrow is EXTREME...ahhhh, summertime in the South.
Say it isn't so! As of September, Sundrop will no longer be bottled in Gaston County. Sundrop has been bottled in Gastonina since 1954, but has recently merged with IBC and will be moving bottling operations to Charlotte.
So will a cherry lemon Sundrop still taste the same? Makes us a little sad...

More sad news: Riverman Brewing Company has closed their doors. It seems a property owner issue is to blame; no word on a possible reopening, so for now it is permanent. We hope they can work it out!
