For the last 121 years the elevated windows on the west side of Loray Mill have offered striking views of Crowder’s Mountain and Kings Pinnacle. Now it appears that folks will get to enjoy those views again.
We are hearing that Phase II of Loray Mill will move forward, with the redevelopment of the western part of the mill that has sat idle for years. The plan will create 196 new units in the mill itself. Originally the plan called for developing 24 cottages along South Vance Street as well, but that appears uncertain at this point.
