Good news for Gaston County!
Back in May Gaston County commissioners voted to drop the tax rate by 20 cents, to 61 cents of appraised value. That is the largest property tax cut in Gaston county history. The new Gaston County budget takes effect July 1.
Now the city of Gastonia is following suit and lowering property taxes from 52 to 47 cents of appraised value.
