Nearly three weeks off did nothing to stop the winning momentum of the Gaston College basketball team Tuesday night as the Rhinos rolled to a 100-65 win at the Converse University developmental team.

The victory was the Rhinos’ 13th straight after a season-opening loss to the top-ranked team in the country and improved Gaston College to 13-1.

“Obviously it’s good to get one under your belt after coming off such a long break,” first-year Rhinos coach Benny Moss said. “I was really pleased with the contributions we got from everybody.”

Playing its first game since Dec. 18, Gaston College led for all but 1 1/2 minutes of Tuesday’s road game.
