Cramerton was gifted a sculpture in 2018 but lacked the $100,000 needed to install it. That money has since been raised through private donations, and the sculpture has been placed in a new pocket park near Riverside Drive in Cramerton.
The sculpture was originally installed at the corner of Trade and Tryon in Charlotte in 1983. Created by artist John Rietta, the sculpture was moved in 2018 so the plaza where it was located could be renovated.
