Whataburger is coming to Gastonia and will be in the old Backyard Burgers location.
Whataburger has quite a following. They have been around since 1950 and were originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. They currently have 817 locations.
They have a large menu, but they are known for their extra large hamburgers that supposedly take two hands to hold.
There have been several Whataburger and What-A -Burger restaurants over the years, and some still exist. One you may know is the What-A-Burger Drive-In’s out of Concord. Whataburger is not related to the Concord operation.
