| Mount Holly has approved the purchase of two new fire trucks, and the hiring of 12 additional fire fighters. They plan to decommission two fire trucks: a 1999 Spartan, and a 2002 Smeal. Finding replacement parts for the trucks has become increasingly difficult. The department will purchase two state-of-the-art Pierce engines with a total cost of $1,784,214.00. With hiring twelve firefighters, the three Mount Holly fire stations will have four firefighters, 24 hours a day, at each station. |
