The Gastonia City Council approved a motion last week to adopt plans for a healthier, safer, and more connected cycling community. The plan would encourage people to get out and ride, and adopting bicycle friendly street policies.
“There’s a whole host of recommendations related to the policy side of building the bike culture and the plan digs into those as well,” one council member said.
The plan would also support future bicycle infrastructure and possible connection to greenways.
