Gaston County School Superintendent W. Jeffrey Booker has resigned. Booker was employed by the school system for 14 years, and was superintendent for the last nine.
In an email Booker said in part ” From day one, I have always been impressed by the employees of Gaston County Schools. Your steadfast commitment to the students of our community is commendable, valuable, and worthy of appreciation. Our school system is strong, productive, and successful because of each one of you,”
Booker says his resignation will be effective at the end of the school year..
