Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus...just fewer lights in Christmastown
There will be lights in Christmastown (McAdenville) this year, just not as many. There will be no lights along the lake, no tree lighting ceremony, and no Yule Log Parade- all in response to Coronavirus. I guess some Christmas is better than no Christmas....2020 can't get out of here soon enough....

"I pass the dog adoption floor many times throughout the day, and every time I look and wave at all the sweet pups patiently waiting for their furrever homes. Today when passing through, my heart broke into pieces at what I saw. Quincy had his back completely turned and would not even face the viewing window...see, Quincy has been here for a bit now, and still has had no luck in finding his happy ever after, and I have NO clue why! He is one of my favorites we have here right now; he is such a fun loving sweet dog that wants nothing but to find a home of his own. Quincy was in the vet tech program last week, and they had NOTHING but wonderful things to say about him!!!! He is treat motivated and knows some commands. So WHY is he still waiting? As you can see in the pictures posted below and the short video, we had a wonderful play date and Quincy has his smile back. Just look what opening a gate to a kennel door can do- now just imagine what a furrever home will do for him!!!!"

Approved adopters, Quincy (45240903) has been here for over a month since he was picked up as a stray in Gaston County. Let's get him a freedom ride this weekend!
He is approximately 3 years old, 60lbs, neutered, microchipped, complete on all vet work and shots. We do not have info on cat or child reactivity. Because of his length of stay, he may also be pulled by an approved 501 rescue partner.
***Quincy also has a free bath and nail trim waiting for him, provided by and generously offered by
