Clues emerge on property near KM casino project
Information has emerged that may show who is behind the recent 100 acre purchase of land near the proposed Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort site in Kings Mountain. The property was purchased by Let's Roll Holdings LLC. A record search in NC and SC turned up nothing, but records show it is registered in Montanna to Action Services. Action Services is a company that specializes in setting up LLC's. Wallace Cheves, a casino developer that has worked with the Catwaba's, has LLC's with similar names.
The casino is not a done deal, and is being hotly contested by The Cherokee's, who own and operate two casinos in North Carolina have filed suit to stop the project. The Kings Mountain project is expected to result in $273 million dollars in investment, and the first phase is expected to be completed mid 2021.
Panthers fall to New Orleans 27-24
Panthers coach Matt Rhule was pretty tough on Teddy Bridgewater for taking an 8 yard sack with 2 minutes left. The sack left Joey Slye, who had just been activated from the reserve/Covid list on Friday, to try an NFL record breaking field goal of 65 yards. It was inches short.
Rhule had this to say about Bridgewater, " “Regardless of what happens, Teddy can’t take that sack. The offensive line can’t allow that sack. It just can’t happen.”

Ski Season Around the Corner?
North Carolina’s ski resorts are preparing to open under Covid guidelines. Skiers often already wear face coverings and maintain social distancing, so it’s “a ready-made sport for maintaining the guidelines,” the president of the N.C. Area Ski Association said. Resorts say the season will start as soon as it’s cold enough to make snow, possibly in the next few weeks.

Meet Tank! (423809870)
This handsome 3 year old guy was owner surrendered, and he is a mix between a red heeler/cattledog and an English bulldog. He's one unique looking, playful dog! He is also current on vaccinations, HW negative and microchipped.
He will need an adopter that understands the high energy demands of both herding and bully breed dogs. He also has a history of issues with other dogs in the home, so he might be best suited to being an "only child". We also require that any other dogs in the home come to the shelter with you to do a dog interaction test. We do not test for child or cat reactivity at our shelter. He did well with his dog test here.
Tank is available as a Love & Go adoption for $25 to approved adopters.
We are located at 1491 Business Park Ct in Gastonia, NC.

Meet Poco! (A36296293) - He is a 7 year old Cattle dog mix that is already neutered! Poco came to the shelter because his owner passed away and he had no where else to go. The home he came from had another little dog and two cats. He is very friendly when he meets other dogs he people he doesn't know. Poco gets excited to go outside so he pulls on a leash until he gets his energy out. His coat needs a little help in getting healthy again by having a good diet, staying on flea prevention and a few good baths.
He will have a microchip, already neutered, one month of flea/tick prevention, one month of heart worm prevention, vaccine and deworming. He is heart worm negative.
