Pole Branch road open-finally!

The 2 1/2 mile stretch of Pole Branch Road that leads to Lake Wylie is open! I drove it the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Construction started in November of 2019 and was supposed to be finished in May, but weather and Covid got in the way. The state should have hired Chick fil A- they seem to have a plan to get things done quickly and efficiently. Maybe they could help with the big project on 273 leading into Mount Holly that started in 1756.

Meet Poco! (A36296293) - He is a 7 year old Cattle dog mix that is already neutered! Poco came to the shelter because his owner passed away and he had no where else to go. The home he came from had another little dog and two cats. He is very friendly when he meets other dogs he people he doesn't know. Poco gets excited to go outside so he pulls on a leash until he gets his energy out. His coat needs a little help in getting healthy again by having a good diet, staying on flea prevention and a few good baths.
He will have a microchip, already neutered, one month of flea/tick prevention, one month of heart worm prevention, vaccine and deworming. He is heart worm negative.
