Medical marijuana in NC closer to reality

North Carolina Senate Bill 711 , entitled " The compassionate care act" , is the latest in a 12 year attempt to legalize marijuana in the state.

“This bill is narrowly tailored to offer medical marijuana to those with legitimate medical needs,”  said Wally Nickel, D-Wake. Bill sponsors called it  “the most conservative and restrictive medical marijuana bill in the country.”

It is certainly not a done deal,
It still must clear — in this order — the Finance, Health Care, and Rules and Operations committees before a potential Senate floor vote. You can read the full text of the bill here.

Vacation time? Air Fares in Charlotte at a 25 year low

Now might be a good time to book that vacation you have been putting off since all this Covid mess started.
As of Monday morning, there were round-trip fares listed to Las Vegas for $107; Anchorage, Alaska, for $225; Bozeman, Montana , for $260; Zurich, Switzerland, for $509; Hong Kong for $563. All of these are lower than the normal prices.
If you haven't checked Google Flights maybe you should. We just checked a week in August, and there were lots of flights to Europe in the $500 range-Rome $527, Dublin $503, Madrid $509.
One other flying tip...you may want to check Southwestern. They are often not included in online searches.
