Good morning-this is David. We are another week closer to the "promised land" of being back to normal. We are in this together- we can do this!

Strawberries are in! Linberger's Maple Springs Farm just changed the sign from Strawberries Soon! to Strawberries Now!. They are $3.50 per quart, $7.00 for a half gallon.
Some good news! Dymax Corporation to establish a $21.5 million dollar manufacturing facility,  and 59 new jobs. Dymax provides integrated rapid and light-cure formulations and equipment for the consumer and automotive electronics, aerospace, defense, and medical markets.

Don't know if it was the best or the worst time to renovate, but J.R. Cash's Grill and Bar on Lake Wylie in Mount Holly  is reopening tomorrow (Wednesday)- can't wait to get back out on the deck for a burger and a cold one! (After this is all over) Meanwhile, they will reopen with take-out, curbside, and delivery.
Doordash and other delivery services are still delivering food straight to your door. They are one of the few businesses actually benefiting from this health crisis. You can check it out here- many restaurants offer free delivery. You may be surprised at how many locally owned restaurants are closed- but please support the ones that are still open.
Hillbilly's Barbeque & Steaks is moving from their present location on I85 in Lowell to a brand new building on South Main Street in Lowell. Owner Gerald Duncan expects to be open in May, probably offering only drive through and take out at that time.

Muddy River Distillery  donated 300 gallons of hand sanitizer to Gaston County healthcare and first responders this month. They appreciate Lowe's Home Improvement helping offset operations costs to make this possible. If you are an organization in need of sanitizer as a donation or for purchase, please visit their website to fill out a sanitizer request form.

Following the Big 3 automakers, BMW is closing their plant in Spartanburg through April 30. This will surely cause a ripple effect for other upstate businesses.
The Gastonia Farmers Market, located at 410 East Long Avenue, will be open Saturday from 7:30-12:30. They do have some safety protocols in place, so your shopping experience may be a little different- but same great fresh produce and products!
