Happy Wednesday!
Looks like more of the same - high of 93 today, clouds and sun. Low of 72 tonight. The good news is the extreme level of mosquito activity (insert eye roll here).
Hang in there, though, the first day of Fall is September 23rd!
Yummy Crab Seafood Restaurant Coming to Old Showmars Location

Another New Restaurant: The Smoke Pit is taking over the old Tavern 24 behind Target- slated to open in October. Check out the menu.
And a closing: The Dairy Queen in Dallas is closing after 50 years. September 29th is the last day. They say that the landlord is not renewing their lease. What about my small Oreo Blizzard with fudge added?

Meet tag 42555850 - the shelter named me Scarlett!
Scarlett is a young sweet dog that is a little shy at first. She likes to take a minute to warm up to a new person she is being introduced to. She is friendly but her confidence level could use a little help. Once she feels secure in a new situation, her personality starts to shine! Scarlett will go back to her handler if she is unsure of things which makes her feel safer. She met some cats and kittens in the shelter and was very curious about them. One swatted at her and she ran away. Scarlett wants to play with the other dogs she sees in the kennel but hasn't had the opportunity to meet one here directly.
Her adoption fee is $90 and covers her spay surgery, microchip, heart worm test and vaccines. She is heart worm negative right now but will need to go to your veterinarian to get started on heart worm prevention to keep her healthy for the rest of her life. More...
