What to Do with Your Kids This Summer

School is winding down - if you're a parent, grandparent, or caregiver, you're likely lining up camps, trips, and childcare for the summer. (If you're not in charge of a kid, you're likely planning on sleeping in a few extra minutes every day since your commute may be faster.)

Heather McConnell Brown took a look at how summers have changed over a generation and shares ideas for helping kids find their way back to boredom. Because, after all, it's often boredom that sparks creativity, ingenuity, and fun.

However, if you are looking to have a good balance between letting kids be bored this summer and keeping your sanity, Charlotte Parent has a great list of some of the camps offered in Gaston County.
