Eastern Gaston County is growing rapidly, and Stowe Family YMCA is committed to meeting evolving community needs!Last night, we were thrilled to officially kick off our Capital Campaign plan with a vibrant celebration at the Mount Holly Municipal Complex! With more than 100 supporters in attendance, we unveiled our conceptual renderings and shared that we've already raised $9 million on our way to our $13.5 million goal. Thanks to Campaign Co-Chairs John McGill and Mick McMahan and our amazing supporters for making this possible!
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PROJECTS
Expansion Projects:• Over 10,000 square feet of new space and over 17,000 square feet of renovated space• A dedicated Youth Wing• An Outdoor Aquatics Center with Splash Pad• A Multi-Sport Court and a Turf Field• Linking to the Carolina Thread Trail
Renovation Projects:• New chapel • Expanded exercise and wellness space• Enhanced cycle and personal training areas• Updated locker rooms, sauna, and steam rooms
THE IMPACT
These initiatives will have a significant impact on the community by:Promoting Health: Providing outdoor fitness facilities and an Aquatics Center encourages physical activity and helps combat youth obesity.Enhancing Recreation: New facilities offer leisure opportunities, fostering social interaction and improving the overall quality of life.Supporting Mental Well-being: A dedicated chapel and counseling space address emotional and spiritual needs, promoting mental health.Boosting Outdoor Access: Outdoor options align with the trend of outdoor activities, connecting with the Carolina Thread Trail and encouraging outdoor engagement.Strengthening Community: Renovated facilities create a more inviting space, fostering a sense of community and belonging.In these ways, and so many more, we will be contributing to a healthier, more engaged, and cohesive community.
