^{Super Chix will be opening soon at 2205 East Dixon Blvd. , suite 120 in Gastonia. That’s two doors down from Viva Chicken, and three doors down from Bad Daddy’s Burgers.}

^{Super Chix serves all kinds of chicken sandwiches, chicken salads, tenders, fries, fried pickles, and premium frozen custard that comes in cups, cold fusions, or hand spun shakes. Check out the menu here.}

^{Stanley Community Charter school teacher makes TopCats}

^{Middle and high school dance teacher Christie Tittle has made the TopCats! She is a teacher at the Community Charter School in Stanley. She was previously on the Charlotte Honey Bees cheer squad, and she is a former student and teacher at Dance Specialties in Belmont.}

^{The Shops at Franklin Square sell for $24.5 million}

^{The Shops at Franklin Square have sold recently for $24.5 million to Piedmont Capital. They purchased the 10.15 acre parcel from MDR Franklin Square LLC, which had paid $20.5 million ins 2017.}

^{The property is at 3900 East Franklin Blvd. In Gastonia, and includes Altitude Trampoline Park and Ashley Furniture.}

^{Piedmont Capital also owns Main Street Crossing, a 65,000-plus-square-foot grocery-anchored center, in Belmont.}

_{^{Marisco’s Sayulita Nayarit has grand opening}}

^{It has taken awhile, but Marisco’s Mexican seafood restaurant is finally open. The reviews we are seeing are positive…and different from your regular Mexican place.}

^{They are located in the former O’Charleys space in Gastonia.}

^{El Tres Platos opening Thursday}

^{Speaking of Mexican restaurants, El Tres Platos is opening Thursday at 4:00 PM at 1700 South York Road in Gastonia. The first 20 guests eat free-max $30 meal. They have a “brand new delicious menu” Latin music, and a chance to meet the staff.}

^{El Tres Platos is Spanish, and means the three dishes, or plates. That’s because El Tres Platos serves Mexican, Columbian, and Honduran food. They are located in nicely remodeled McDonalds, and serve breakfast through dinner, and also have a bar.}

^{Dancing for the Future Stars 2026 a resounding success!}

^{The annual Dancing for the Future Stars event hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Gaston was an amazing event! Gwynne Cashatt Wharton was the Grand Champion, Stephanie Miller was the Dance Champion, and Sarah Tucker won the Silver Star. Approximately $550,000 was raised, but that only represents about 30% of their annual budget.}

^{The gentlemen dancers involved were Darron Glenn, Connor Pridnia, and Lee Wells. The lady dancers were Charlotte Harvey, Stephanie Miller, Sarah Tucker, Gwynne Cashatt Wharton, and Talisha Zinoble.}
