The End of an Era: Last Orangeade at Charlie's Drugs in Mount Holly
Last week, Mount Holly native and local celebrity enjoyed the very last Orange Aid from Charlie's Drug Store (now Moose Pharmacy).He shared this nostalgic moment on social media saying, "Folks, I am drinking the last Orange Aid that Charlie’s will ever serve. The fountain is closing today. This is due solely because of a lack of staff and not because they want to. I will really miss these, but will continue to support Moose because it is our local pharmacy!"

Howdy, Y'all: Local Cowboy Finding Love in Local Reality Show?Local cowboy (well technically he's a rancher) and UNC Charlotte Alum Ryan Black in the Reality TV series “Farmer Wants a Wife”. He is a native of Shelby but currently resides in Gastonia where he owns a 44-acre ranch to train and breed horses.When the show first aired, he was one of the four contestants engaging with eight "City" women. In a recent episode, Ryan went on a romantic date to Drift on Lake Wylie, a lakeside restaurant in Belmont, pictured above.

New Sushi and Thai Restaurant in Mount Holly!
A new sushi and Thai restaurant has opened in downtown Mount Holly, at the former H & M Catering location at 119 North Main Street. One19 North Main offers authentic Thai food and an extensive sushi menu. The sushi menu features sushi appetizers, moriawase, specialty rolls, and vegetarian rolls. Nigiri sushi and sashimi are available as well. In addition to sushi, One19 North Main also offers Thai dishes, spring rolls, salads, soups, curry, noodles and rice, entrees, and desserts. The full bar spotlights a full menu of signature cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer. Live music from local talent is offered most weekend nights.
Dine-in, take-out, party booking, and catering services are available. Third-party (DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub) will be available in the coming weeks. The restaurant accepts reservations. A late-night menu is offered on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:45 PM - 12:00 AM.
One19 North Main is open seven days a week. Hours will be Mondays through Thursdays 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
