A group is wanting the statue of a Confederate private that stands in front of the Gaston County courthouse to be removed. The NAACP and the Gaston County Freedom Fighters are asking that the statue, which stands across form a statue of Martin Luther King, Jr. be moved as they find the placement insulting.
