Hello Tuesday, it's David. Today is December 7th. Have you seen all of the Christmas trees on top of cars lately? I love it!By the way- what is your favorite Christmas movie? Usually I would say A Christmas Story (You'll shoot your eye out!) but this year we watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation with my sister. Randy Quaid as Cousin Eddie never gets old!

Duke's Tech Center in Mount Holly growingDuke Energy's Emerging Technology & Innovation Center in Mount Holly used to be a few solar panels and a mobile home type office building. There are now four buildings, including an ice-condition training building, a shop, and a classroom.They are working on providing direct current electricity ( Edison vs Tesla?) for homes and businesses, and also developing home and utility storage batteries.The Center is also base for Duke's drone operations. Presently about 40 drone operators work there. Another project going on is the testing of a new non-lithium based battery developed by Honeywell, as well as testing multiple types and positions of solar panels.Rumored construction of a Tesla Power Transmitter are unfounded.
Mount Holly to memorialize Tyler Herndon
The City of Mount Holly will dedicate a memorial to Tyler Herndon this Saturday at the Mount Holly Police Memorial Plaza. The dedication will take place at 2 PM at 400 East Central Avenue in Mount Holly. It will be the one year anniversary of his death.Herndon was killed while responding to a call in Mount Holly while on duty, just two days before his 26th birthday.
