Just how bad is flu in Gaston County?
As February kicked off, the Gaston Gazette reported, "About 500 Gaston County public schools students have been diagnosed with the flu in the last two weeks, and Gastonia’s CaroMont Regional Medical Center is temporarily restricting some visitors after a spike in patients experiencing flu-like symptoms. About 6 percent of people who visited the hosptial’s emergency room last week had flu-like symptoms." Read the full story.
