Food Truck Alley broke ground last week at 2 Airline Street in Belmont, directly behind the Everyday Market. The project, headed by owner Alex Hostetler, will eventually feature 7 food trucks with various cuisines. There will be 4 parking spots at the top that will be paved, and the rest will be gravel so it doesn’t get too hot in the summer. There will be AstroTurf down the center and string lights and sunshades over the top.

Hostetler said he was inspired by the food truck parks found in cities like Austin, Brooklyn and Nashville and wanted to create something similar in Belmont.

The new Chipotle opens tomorrow at 6400 Wilkinson Blvd. In Belmont. (Same shopping center where the UPS Store and Aldi are located). The store will be open every day from 10:45 AM to 10:00 PM.

 This holiday season, Chipotle is offering in-restaurant BOGO entrée offers on the first three Saturdays of December from 4 p.m. to close. The above pics were taken at Eastridge Mall exactly 10 years apart, 12/13/15 and 12/13/25. As we reported earlier, Belks at Eastridge now has a separate outlet store, downstairs and regular retail upstairs, and no way to get from one to another inside the store. The mall now also houses the DMV, a church, the Republican Party,and a CDL driving school.

At over 900,000 square feet, Eastridge is larger than most malls in the country. All the retail is now on the second floor.

Somebody bought a Powerball ticket in Gastonia worth $2 million dollars. The ticket was purchased at the Food Lion on South New Hope Road in Gastonia. The $3 Power Play ticket matched all five white balls to claim the $2 million prize.

Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. If I won, I would pay it on my bills as far as it would go.
