Conn’s Home Plus is closing all stores after filing for bankruptcy in July. This includes the Gastonia store. Badcock Home Furnishings, owned by Conn’s, is also closing all stores, including the Gastonia store. Both stores are offering 30-50% discounts online and in-store. Conn’s has been de-listed from the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Big Lots Closing Locations, Belmont Safe for Now
Big Lots, too, is struggling, closing up to 315 locations this year. That represents about 22% of its current 1389 stores. The Belmont store is safe for now.
